"I am not going to make a speech here because I believe I have an appointment at the fair grounds and we must hasten there in order to catch the next train. As the people are not in good financial condition it is not an easy thing to come all the way to Nebraska to call on me. (Applause.) As they are not able to get out there, I am reversing the process and I will come to see the people."
