In this short letter from March 26, 1866, Samuel Reed writes to his wife and family stating that he has completed his survey map and one of his reports and sent them to New York. My map is completed and has been sent to New York, also one of my reports, I have to make two, one for the company and one (an estimate) for Congress. The estimate is completed and forwarded. My report is nearly done. I hope to send it forward this week.
