Omaha,
Sept 24th 1866
Dear Sir
I leave Omaha this evening for the North Platt [sic] bridge and the work west of there, shal [sic] be absent about ten days. The work at bridge and the grading on the 4th hundred is being pushed ahead as rapidly as posable [sic] . The grading will all be finished in time not to delay the track. I fear it will be imposable [sic] to complete the North Platt [sic] bridge before the track is laid to that place. Every effort will be made to complete the bridge as soon as posable [sic] .
Yours Very Respectfully
S.B. Reed
