Letter from William H. Seevers to Thomas M. Isett and William C. Brewster, October 22, 1860

In this letter from October 22, 1860, William H. Seevers continues his discussion with Thomas M. Isett and William C. Brewster regarding the sale of their land near Oskaloosa, Iowa for railroad use, stating that "the depot will no doubt be located this week."

Gent

I delayed sending the enclosed until now for various reasons. The depot will no doubt be located this week, before I can hear from you. Still you had better send the deeds and paper along, as it can be changed unless we do what they consider right. I have suggested to sign agreement agreeing to give two or three agres [sic] for depot, and let anything more than that be open for future negotiation. They will undoubtedly ask more, or you may send two papers. I shall have to do as will as you and I desire to do no more than I can help. The weather is fine. Suppose one of you come out with the papers.
