Omaha World-Herald (Morning Edition), Omaha, NE, 20 October, 1896.
"There is not an argument that has been made against bimetallism which has not been
answered over and over again, and yet in spite of the fact that every objection to bimetallism has
been met and expelled our opponents are appealing to every class of people and trying to arouse a
selfish interest in favor of the gold standard. One of the last appeals has been to the church
societies, and letters have been sent from the national republican committee to the various
missionary societies. We go upon the theory that [illegible] permanent prosperity that [illegible] a
prosperity whose [illegible] the people who pro[illegible] to all the other classes [illegible]."
