November 2
Aurora, NE (Paraphrase)
Nebraska State Journal, Lincoln, NE, 3 November, 1896.
[Referring to those in the crowd wearing yellow ribbons, Mr. Bryan] said...that he did
not know what colors were worn by those who advocated the English interests in 1776, but that he
knew what color those advocates of English interests wear today. He said the people were divided
into two classes, those who produce wealth and those who live off the labor of others.
