The following sets of .kml or .kmz data have been created to explore issues of campaign reach and distance in the 1881-1882 campaign. Google Earth gives us the opportunity to overlay a historical map (in this case, the map from Andreas' History of Nebraska) and create points and paths important in the visualization of aspects of the campaign. Using the historical map rather than the modern imagery is key to understanding the demands of space and time as they were felt in 1881-1882.
Right click and "save as" .kml or .kmz files or "open with" Google Earth.
