Harriet Robinson Shattuck in Northeast Nebraska, October and November 1882

Visits planned for Shattuck by the Nebraska Woman Suffrage Association reach far into the northeast section of the state. Shattuck stayed with local supporters and, while she travled primarily by train, did end up riding "all day" on horseback to speak at St. Helena.

Explore a visualization of Shattuck's trip that is based on the dates she recorded in her scrapbooks. This view includes a calendar - linking the issues of space and time so crucial to understanding the 1881-1882 campaign.
