The ladies are determined to secure the long withhold right, the ballot, and many of the most intelligent wives and mothers in the state are actively engaged inorganizing associations,a nd by public speechse and earnest talk are awakening an interest never before felt. Such a discrimination in the ballot 9against women) is in direct opposition to the meaning of a free government, and a gross injustice to alarge portion of our population.
