Wordle presents an interesting way to approach textual data. While not as heavy as a true text analysis program, using Wordle can give us a look at a concepts expressed in a large body of work and see possible changes over time.
I have run the first and last volumes of the Western Woman's Journal (excluding back matter advertisements) through Wordle's software to compare emphases and topics:

(I find the large "Mrs." an interesting signifier of the importance of the individual worker in the campaign by its completion.)
