                        Oklahoma About the ProjectCrossing Oklahoma began as a project by Robert J. Voss as an advanced history
                    project for Dr. William Thomas' Digital History class at the University
                    of Nebraska, Lincoln in the spring of 2007. It is a different approach to the history of Indian
                    Territory and the issues faced by people in the region.  The web project is supported
                    by the History Department at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln.
 Robert J. Voss is a PhD. student at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln
                    studying the impact of technology and culture in ninteenth century
                    America. His prior work includes investigations into the social and cultural development of
                    Territorial Nebraska and the West.  He is interested in developing digital tools for the
                    humanities beyond his personal work, making them available and important to public use.
